just came back from Life Expedition's annual dinner. and guess where i could be found.......being the USHER SLASH WAITRESS of course! heh.
yeah, when i dressed up for it, i thought, heck. it's just an 'annual dinner'. knew it was gonna be formal-ISH lah...so i just opted simply for black top and pants. thank God i at least changed into something more decent before the briefing. hee. though, refused the use of makeup, wanted to go AU NATURALE ala joan na. but....
BOYYYYY WAS I WRONG!!! standing there whilst receiving commands for the night, just made me feel oh-soooOOoooo-underdressed!! the girls (even the ushers) were tromping around in their super impressive-looking dresses and brilliant makeup and supah BLIIIING! (yes, they were blinged to the max :P) no lah, they weren't. but at least got SOME bling mah. would've made anyone (even guys) who went au naturale feel like whitewash (josh, not referring to u. HAHAHA). yeah and all i could do was wailll in despair to my poor cuz...wee, i pray for ur bleeding ears..."ZOMG WHY IS IT SO FORMAL?!?!?!" ugh. imagine my shock/horror.
so, (greatest, coolest part of all) SERENA AND KAREN TO THE RESCUE!!!! ohmygooooodness. oh WEE too. :) <-- indian smiley again! :P extreme makeover home edition. hahaha. ok lah, not exactly. lols.but they DID do a half-makeover. felt like a SUPERSTAR (lols). so nice hoh. siigh. took me in with arms wide open in my time of desperate need...and for that, i owe you guys my blessing...to have millions gabillions little girls in the years to come!! :D
oh, onto the waitressing thingo. it was TIRING beyond belief. holy smokes. at least i was in charge of only one table, but heck. we were expected to bring two plates at a time (was unable to do the super-keng-put-plates-on-arms thingy. scared) cause the dishes were INDIVIDUAL portions. bloody. imagine the frenzy and chaos in the kitchen -_-" and frankly, food was preeetttyyyy crap.
anyhoo super duper uper tired now. bright and early morning tomorrow!!! shall leave dexter alone till the afternoon :)
...services, anyone?
