I BLAME YOU AND BOULEVARD, SPRING. now look at swak plaza and the pathetic state it's in. sad sad sad.

and ohmigoodness. how bloody many starbucks outlets do we bloody need in kch?! -__-" kuching so small lah. population small lah. can feed so many outlets meh. once the hype is over you die. -__-" look at secret recipe. big apple donuts. sushi king. i rmb people used to line up in each and every one of those stores. long long long lines summore to eat their severely overpriced, overrated food. now they're just...sparse. sad sad sad. i think kuching ppl are loyal to their kopitiams (yay) but i do admit we need a little americanization once in a while lah. makan sikit-sikit and splurge sikit-sikit on overrated food lah. being this angmoh-worshipping nation, anyways.

it's so nice to have that space you call your own.
and to just lock yourself up if you reaaaallllyyyy do not like to see anyone.
to stay in when you just feel like it.

well, i'm a private person and i love my privacy.

is what i dread calling my room when i get back to melbourne :( :( :(

i hate it.

this is a recap of the year gone by.

2008 has been a year of firsts:

first time away from home.
first time missing family and friends so much.
first *AND ONLY* time in college.
first time seeing the love of my life (will elaborate later :p).
first time hanging out with new people.
first time cooking (: (: (: and baking.
first time calling teachers by first names.
first time acting (if you would call it acting lol!).
first time knowing myself (i know. super emo and deep right. lol. elaborate later too).

and so on. lols.

so, 2008 has been a super great year for the Yong household as well!!!

BIG BIG NUMBER ONE on the list is....

THE BIRTH OF THE LOVELY LOVELY BEAUTIFUL BABY MORE KNOWN AS AIDEN YONG ZHE YU (sry if i got the chi name wrong LOL!) who happens to be the love of my life (: (:

peoples. a baby's coooooo is the loveliest, most gentle, heart-melting, tear-jerking thing in the world. sigh. *pls excuse the intense surge of mummy hormones in my system* but i was so close to tears hearing the little tyke making these soft baby noises. SIIIIIGGGGHHHHH. i love him.

how i wish he'd never grow up lols. i want him to stay little FOREVERRRRR!!!! :(

it wasn't only a good year for koko and angie. but it was a HUUUUGE year for the other two siblings as well!! GRADUATION is a big and proud moment :D no more studying!!!! and getting a job right after is icing on the cake. hahahaha. can NEVER forget the alice-in-wonderland's-cat's-grin on the face of a beaming father. and mother. lols!!!

well, that's about it, actually. lol. hrm.
oh, there WAS spm results and getting into uni. haha. but that's about it.

all in all, A PRAISE-THE-LORD GOOD YEAR FOR THE YONGS!!! (esp the baby thing...and seeing my parents misssss him soooooo much when they haven't seen him for a NIGHT. yes, peoples. a NIGHT. haha! very, very sweet indeed).

hrm. so, 1 yr away from home did me LOADS of good (:

certainly made me appreciate the little things more. things i've always taken for granted.
example: clean air. okay no. i've nv taken that for granted LOL.

RM 4.00 meals. (yes, i couldn't bliv it. and it's been confirmed. meals here ARE 4.00!!! e.g. noodles yay)

The Cycling Event

So, 2 days ago we went cycling.

my very first time in 10 years. TEN. YEARS.

lol.

shaky, scared, shiiiiivering, heartbeat racing, breaths rapid *refer to pic pls* hahaha. the proof: my extremely sore arms from grasping so tightly the handle bars. was raining summore lol.

whoa. some serious muscle-building there!!!

anyways, the thing is...after many many unsuccessful tries, i'd managed to (eventually) regain balance on the bike and cycle like i'd done it forever. isn't that so cool???

...that no matter how much you've changed, how many miles you've travelled, who you've become, where you've gone, how changed your beliefs are...you can always regain that same amount of confidence in the thing you've known since you were young. it's always there for you to run back to no matter what.

welllll. on wednesday we had our valedictory which is more of a farewell than graduation. SO SAD OKAY. it was then that it hit me: TRINITY IS OFFICIALLY OVERRRR. it's preeetttyyyy sad, really. bittersweet moment though, as we fret over the whoooosh of days gone by but rejoice at the thought of good times to come (esp back home)!!!!
